I’ve loved cooking for as long as I can remember, inspired by my parents, who always cooked delicious meals when I was growing up. Their recipes became a part of my life, and I still use them almost weekly to this day. That passion stayed with me as I grew older and moved to New York City, where I began cooking for myself and experimenting with new recipes. Living in a city full of restaurants, I realized how often eating out meant sacrificing health for convenience. Sometimes, you just need a home-cooked meal—something fresh, nourishing, and made with care. I often found myself making more food than I could possibly eat, which planted the seed for what would eventually become my dream business. I realized there was an opportunity to share my love of cooking with others. It’s something I’d thought about for years, especially as I kept hearing from people who were too busy working or parenting to think about dinner by the time it rolled around. Helping them enjoy a fresh, home-cooked meal felt like the perfect solution, and taking the leap to launch Just Like Mom, a delivery service catering to that exact need.
